Suspensory Ligaments

Definition/Symptom: Occurs in the broad, elasticized band of tissue behind and attached to the lower row of carpal bones and sesamoid bones of the fetlock. Look for swelling, edema, pain and sometimes lameness.
Caused by: Sprain, injury or strain.
